Hula Hoop Weight Loss Before And After

Hello to all the readers out there, this is Hannah Hourglass Waist Training, the digital manager for Hourglass Waist! Today we are interviewing Jane, who recently purchased one of our weighted hula hoops. The goal of this article is to put the spotlight on women who have purchased and used our weighted hula hoops, following their journey and hearing about their weighted hula hoop weight loss before and after results.

Let's start with some information on Jane, she is a 24-year-old living in Melbourne's Brunswick region. Jane first heard about weighted hula hoops on TikTok and was intrigued with the idea of using one to pair with her waist training routine. After reaching out to Hourglass Waist for more information she settled on our 2kg weighted hula hoop. After two months of regular use for 20 minutes, 5 times per week we reached out to Jane to see how she was progressing.

Weighted Hula Hoop before and after

2 months later here are Janes results.

Hey Jane, how are you?

Really good thanks!

Great to hear, so let's jump into it. How did you first learn about a weighted hoop, did you hula hoop as a girl at school?

I sure did, I remember spending most of my recces time spinning hula hoops and when I first saw the weighted hula hoop on TikTok I knew I had to try it. After a little bit of research on  hula hoop workouts, I settled on you guys!

Awesome! So what were your first thoughts when you received the weighted hoop?

Well basically I was blown away by its colours, the weight was also very noticeable but I was keen to give it a spin straightway. The first spin was harder than I first thought and I really felt my core being activated with each action! I was a little concerned that I might bruise after my first 5-minute session but luckily no marks appeared.

That's amazing to hear! how often are you using your weighted hula hoop?

I basically just took the Hourglass team advice, started with 5 minutes a day and gradually built that up. Now I am using my weighted hula hoop 5 times a week for 40 minutes a day! I usually break that up into 20-minute sessions, once in the morning and then again in the evening.

How about the results, have you noticed any?

Oh yeah definitely seen lots of benefits, I have lost significant weight around my waist, hips and tummy area! Looking in the mirror I am definitely more toned and people have even commented on my loss of weight. I actually feel really good about myself, confidence is definitely going up.

What the plan from here Jane, goals for the rest of 2021?

Well, for the rest of the year I really want to keep progressing with my fitness goals. I feel really good about myself and have made a lot of progress but I feel like there is still a lot I can achieve even more before the year is out!

Fantastic Jane, I really hope the rest of 2021 is amazing for you, I have a feeling it will.

Thanks Hannah!

Conclusion:

hula hooping, particularly weighted hula hooping, can be an effective way to lose weight and get in shape. As we have seen in this article, hula hooping burns calories and works the entire body, particularly the core muscles. It is also a low-impact exercise that is easy on the joints, making it a great option for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Weighted hula hooping is particularly effective for weight loss and toning, as it increases the intensity of the workout and challenges the muscles more than a traditional hula hoop. Adding a weighted ball to a regular hula hoop or using a heavier hoop can also provide similar benefits.

Research has shown that hula hooping can reduce body fat, particularly belly fat, and improve cardiovascular fitness. It can also provide other health benefits such as increased energy and improved balance and coordination. Furthermore, hula hooping can be a fun and enjoyable form of exercise that can be easily incorporated into an exercise routine.

Practicing hula hooping for just a few minutes a day can lead to noticeable results in as little as two weeks. For more significant weight loss and muscle toning, incorporating hula hooping into a regular exercise routine for at least six weeks can provide even greater benefits.

Compared to other forms of exercise such as walking, step aerobics, and yoga, hula hooping is a more dynamic and multi-tasking activity that engages the entire body. It can be combined with other exercises such as Pilates and dance to create a full-body workout that can be customized to fit individual fitness goals.

It is important to note that hula hooping alone may not be enough to achieve significant weight loss and fitness goals. It should be combined with a healthy diet and other forms of exercise to maximize results.

In summary, hula hooping is a fun and effective way to lose weight, get in shape, and improve overall health and fitness. Whether using a traditional hula hoop or a weighted one, incorporating hula hooping into a regular exercise routine can provide numerous benefits for the body and mind. With easy assembly, and a low-impact and enjoyable nature, hula hooping can be an accessible and enjoyable form of exercise for all adults looking to improve their fitness levels. As recommended by the American Council on Exercise, practicing hula hooping on a regular basis can provide a challenging yet fun way to stay in shape, and can even help to hang onto that belly fat.
